Diss is a thriving market town straddling the Norfolk–Suffolk border, around 13 miles south of Wymondham along the B1077. We work regularly across the IP22 postcode area, covering Diss itself and the surrounding settlements including Scole, Roydon, Burston, Gissing, and the villages along the Waveney Valley.
The town is centred on The Mere, a natural lake in the heart of the market place that makes Diss one of Norfolk's most distinctive small towns. The Corn Hall, the Victorian market place buildings, and the surrounding residential streets offer an attractive mix of period architecture - and plenty of older homes that are ripe for renovation and extension.
Many of our Diss area clients are homeowners with older properties who want to bring them up to a modern standard of comfort and functionality. Full renovations, kitchen extensions, bathroom refits, and loft conversions are all popular projects in this area. The Diss area also has a good number of properties with traditional clay pan-tile roofs, and we carry out regular roofing repairs and replacements using appropriate period-sympathetic materials.
Diss has a mainline rail connection to Norwich and London Liverpool Street, making it popular with commuters and second-home owners who invest seriously in their properties. We provide the quality of build that this clientele expects, and we're happy to work around owners who are not always on site.
